Jennifer teaches EAP and communications at George Brown College. She has also taught sociolinguistics courses in the ESL Foundation Program at Ryerson’s REAL Institute. Jennifer has always been passionate about language. She majored in French and translation in her undergraduate programs and specialized in Language and Literacies for her MEd at OISE. She has worked in the public and private sectors as a writer, book editor, and translator. Jennifer also contributes to TESL Ontario as a guest blogger. Jennifer is particularly interested in how language and culture intersect and shape students’ identities and learning. She has taught in Chongqing and Guilin, China, and relished her experiences working with students, meeting people, and travelling through the country. In her free time, Jennifer writes short fiction, goes for long walks with her dogs, and hangs out with her family.
