York University has created the Quan Liu Scholarship in memory of the 23-year-old YUELI (York University English Language Institute) student who was recently killed near the university. It is a $5,000 award for a YUELI student entering a degree program at York who has demonstrated the highest academic standing in his or her previous studies and achieved the highest level of proficiency at YUELI.
