From annual favourites to first-time presenters TOSCON17 offers something for everyone. We encourage you to view this year’s program. All sessions will seat on a first-come basis. No need to preregister for specific sessions.
Not to be forgotten is our Plenary speaker this year, Chuck Sandy, who will also be running a special Friday evening session called The Writer’s Retreat: a Workshop Approach. Chuck Sandy is a teacher, teacher developer, motivational speaker, and author. In addition to his work as a cofounder and director of iTDi, Chuck gives workshops and runs writing retreats both on and offline.

Founded in 1976, TESL Toronto is a volunteer-run, non-profit organization representing educators and specialists in the fields of English as a Second Language (ESL) and English as a Foreign Language (EFL).
Our Mandate is
• to support professional development for teachers of English as a Second Language in Toronto, and
• to work with other regional affiliates and TESL Ontario to enhance ESL learning environments, and
• to establish and promote standards in ESL education.
