An ESL Survivor Kit - or – A Refresher Course
with Fran Marshall
Are you a ‘new’ instructor looking for survival tips and techniques – or are you a ‘used’ instructor looking for a refresher course? The workshop comprises practical, challenging activities from three popular presentations: Thirty Minutes to Review – the top ten skill-building opening activities. ESL Storywork – the main components of a story, with guidelines for learners to create their own stories with related activities. The Grand Finale – a condensed version of quizzes, puzzles and communicative activities to keep ESL batteries charged. Comprehensive handouts feature most highly rated ‘best practices’ from an informal cross-country survey.
Fran Marshall is an experienced ESL resource consultant, and author of reader-workbooks and teacher manuals. She is a frequent presenter at TESL Ontario, TESL affiliates and TESL Training Programs.
